So what am I up to?  Well, I intend to launch a wireless phone service unlike anything seen and to make it interesting, I am going social with the whole endeavor.  That’s right; I intend to share the whole experience so others might benefit from a real life entrepreneurial endeavor. 

  I intend to share weekly updates regarding my progress as I take this venture from concept to market.    

In an effort to set the stage, I believe it’s important that you learn something about who I am and what has motivated me to invite you to take part in what can only be described as a grand social experiment. 

Let’s start with a mini biography, I was born and live on the bonnie isle of Cape Breton where my wife and best friend Kristen and I are raising four great children.  I once heard a comedian say that you can judge the sanity of a person by the number of cats they own; I have two, which I hope psychologically are countered by the two dogs that also inhabit my home.  My ultimate dream is to retire on the 163 acres that I plan to purchase from my father-in-law and become a “Dirt Farmer”; until then I intend to use what time and resources are available to me to make a difference. 

Ok, I also know you’re asking yourself, what makes this guy think he can pull this off?  Well here is your answer.

The reason I can make this Dream a reality is simple, currently I am the Vice President of Business Development for UpSource Mobile Services. UMS is a concept I created and subsequently refined with support of a great CEO, the guidance of proven industry leaders and capital from investors who decided the risk wasn’t that great.  I spend my time everyday discussing, planning, modeling and creating opportunities for companies to launch their very own wireless service.  I have the ability to plan this business as well as access to the people, facilities and technology necessary to launch and operate a wireless phone service. 

Perhaps I’m not as mad as you first thought!
